Our Kaua`i Activity Guide includes many of the activities, adventures, and sights for which KAUA`I is famous. At ACTIVITY WHOLESALERS, we are knowledgeable about all island activities, and, we can make your discounted reservations with most tour providers. Why? It’s because of our expertise and volume of business. We have dedicated and professional vacation specialists, who want to make your vacation the one to remember for years to come. KAUA`I is an island of incredible beauty. Hidden valleys filled with rainbows, beautiful and majestic canyons, pristine waterfalls that plummet thousands of feet to Earth are only a sampling of the beauty that awaits you on the Garden Isle. Waimea Canyon is a breathtaking sight, which can be seen in part by driving up the canyon road, but its true majesty is best appreciated by a helicopter flight over the canyon. As you drive, cruise, or fly along the northern part of the island, Waterfalls can be seen cascading down the steep cliffs. There are a few waterfalls that you can get close to by a short drive. Wailua Falls were made famous by the TV show ‘Fantasy Island”. It is an easy drive up Maalo Road (583), just off Highway 56 at Hanamaulu Town (just north of Lihue). Near Kapa`a, Opeaka`a Falls is just a short drive up Kuamoo Road (580) to the parking area.
Mount Wai`ale`ale,
in the center of Kaua`i, is the wettest place on the planet, but
there are many other places on the island where rain creates
spectacular waterfalls each time it rains. Many of the available
activities, such as biking, hiking, kayaking, atv’s or horseback
riding, have beautiful waterfalls as their destination. Famous the
world around, the Na Pali Coast is a sight that
must be experienced. Magnificent mountain cliffs and canyons were
created by erosion of wind, rain, and the ocean for thousands of
years. This natural geological wonder is inaccessible by car, so to
really take in this incredible coastline, you must take a helicopter
or travel along the coast by boat, raft or ‘cat’. And, of course,
there are incredibly beautiful beaches for swimming, surfing,
snorkeling, and just plain relaxing. Some of the best snorkel sites
in all the Hawaiian Islands are on Kaua`i, such as ‘Tunnels”, “Ke`e”
& “Hideaways”. Swim with the turtles and see an amazing collection
of colorful fish on our reefs. Did you know that 66% of the visitors
to the Garden Isle want to go snorkeling? There is a reason. This
island is unbelievable! Self-guided Adventures: There are many guided tours on KAUA`I, and most visitors will want to enjoy at least a few of them. Visitors, though, often want to organize some of their own adventures. Unfortunately, some of the books being sold to visitors ‘sugarcoat’ the dangers that exist along the shores of Kauai. We can also help you with places not to visit at certain times of the year. This is a wonderful island for biking, hiking, surfing, and snorkeling just to mention a few. In addition, there are several world class gardens on Kauai. We always suggest a visit to the Kilauea Lighthouse, for example. At ACTIVITY WHOLESALERS / SNORKEL DEPOT you can rent top quality surf and snorkel gear on your way to several fabulous spots on the north shore – some of which are not map listed. Yes, we know the ‘secrets’. We also rent mountain bikes for those who want some serious biking, or cruiser bikes for a leisurely ride around Hanalei. ACTIVITY WHOLESALERS -- the second building on the left as you enter Historic Hanalei on Highway 56.
